Ca reactors causing high phos?

I battle a constant high level of phosphates and have beef using lanthanum for years battling it. A buddy of mine thinks it’s my ca reactor media causing it. I anyone else seeing this problem? I’m currently using two little fishies media I bought several years ago. I also feed frozen foods.
Any opinions?

I suspect that the media might release some small amount of phosphate but it's negligible compared to food waste. Do you use Reef Rhoids or feed nori aggressively? What is your PO4 and what's considered high? Also, anything wrong with your tank - nuisance algae?

You can always measure the phosphate in the effluent of the reactor. it can be a source, but tons of people have very high phosphate simply from more food input of P than phosphate consumption.

I feed a good bit twice a day and usually a sheet of nori for my tang, angels and idol. I have lanthanum dosed daily to keep my phos around .1, if I didnt it would be well over .2 fairly quickly. A buddy suggested it might be the media, but I suspected maybe food. My icp that came back yesterday showed lanthanum at 1.49 so I guess I shouldnt be concerned about it.
