Thanks. I'm running the water level at 7", minimum for the skimmer to function properly. I'll be ordering sand this week. I'm in a race against time. My "temp" tank is where the Xmas tree is supposed to go.

I use a DCT4000 for my return pump and it is plenty powerful. You may want to run your emergency overflow line to an area that will make some noise so you can tell if it's overflowing.;) It's looking good!
I'll have to check that pump out. The stock pump is a lot louder than I had expected. I never intended the pump for long time use, just until I could find a suitable replacement. I keep looking at the vectra pumps......

Also what water depth is everyone running in these sumps? To me it looks like 7" would be the max, otherwise it would start bypassing the fuge area.

It depends on how your sump can handle a power outage, I have my sump @ 10"of water which is low enough to handle water drained into it if a power outage knocked my return pump out.

Are you using the sump that came with the tank? I could probably go another inch (8") then it would start overflowing the baffles.

I miss my Magnum HOT 250, it was great for clearing up cloudy tanks. Still have to add panel to attach the Apex to. The stock pump that comes with the tank sucks. It takes about 20mn for it to quiet down after starting up.

More pics. Tried setting up the Neptune breakout box, might have a bad I/O port on the main unit [emoji52]. I have some flat pieces of Marco rock coming today to make there tank layout a little more interesting.

It turned out to be a messed up float switch, all is good. Some messing around years ago with he switch, don't ask, it was a stupid mistake on my part. Marco rock came today. Time to start planning out a rock structure(s).
