So, I bought one of these - and I didn't plan on doing it! I could not resist, she's an absolute beauty and may very well be on her way to become one of my absolute favourites in the reef tank.

After quarantine, she will be introduced into her new home! :star-struck:

It was just one of those times where you couldn't resist! That, and she sold for £40 which is unheard off for one of them over here.. :star-struck:

Who else has one of these?

Updated stock list after this will be:

2 x Common Clown Fish - Coral / Marlin
1 x Timor Wrasse - Tony
1 x One-spot Foxface Rabbit Fish - Finn
1 x Magnificent Foxface Rabbit Fish - Manuel
1 x Pink-spotted Watchman Goby - Candy
1 x Bella Sifter Goby - Bella
1 x Coral Beauty - Valentine
1 x Cherub Angle Fish - Clarence
1 x Anthias (unknown) - Merryl
1 x Long Nose Hawk Fish - Percy
1 x Scarlet Flame Hawk Fish - John
1 x Blue Regal Tang - Dory
1 x Yellow Tail Purple Tang - Violet

Now, that's an honest days work completed. The UV steriliser has now been installed and tuned to abt. 650 l/hrs ; 1.2 x tank turnover.

Now its time to lean back and away delivery of not one- but two Smart Testers from Reef Factory tomorrow :star-struck:

They can't get that nitrate reagent out there soon enough!

That's the PAR reading taken with the ITC ParWise PAR meter. A new investment from the LFS; unsurprisingly it is very close to the readings from the Seneye. :D

First two corals went in the tank today; a GSP rock and a rainbow montipora. Fingers crossed!

So this arrived in the mail today! Chuffed and exited to see what they're like! Has anyone here tried them out yet?

My plan is to run one testing phosphates daily and the other one, eventually testing nitrate daily. For now, the second unit will be tried out with the magnesium reagents.

As for the Dosing Pump Pro X1, I plan on dosing Reef Zlements Phosphate remover basis the results from the Smart Tester.

Alternatively, it will be used for aminos :star-struck:

A more detailed review will be coming down the line..

That's the Smart Testers all up and running; calibrated and ready to go! First couple of tests went well although phosphate was a wee bit higher than I had in mind.

Phosphate was compared with Hanna ULR within 0.01 - Magnesium was compared with Trident within 35 ppm. Too soon to say how stabile they are just yet.

That moment when you finally proceed from a FOWLR tank back to a reef tank :star-struck: first batch is in, much more to follow!

Today is about to be a really good day! As always, didn't really need a anything when walking into the LFS.

Came out with a bunch of new coral and a full CUC for the sump as well! Lovely... :star-struck:

Now I just need to improve my camera skills....

The new bits acquired from Waterworld Aquatics in Glasgow are settling in allrigt! So nice to see the tank coming along despite issues here and there..

It's been a long year, here's hoping for good growth and lots of new coral in 2024!

A batch of 15 frags are on their way to the local shop and into my tank. A little gift to start the new year out just right :star-struck:

Pretty dang happy with these ones so far, the new pro dosing pumps from Reef Factory are hands down the best dosing pumps I've ever tried! :star-struck:

Well done! If anyone is looking for a 1 or 4 channel doser with the best app money can buy, look no further!

Advertised with an accuracy of 0.01 ml - and up to 48 dosing interval per day.

Currently dosing phosphate down and nitrate up.

Now; time for them to perfect the Smart Tester and get me those nitrate reagents

Cable management is great until you need to clean your gyres...

That's one for the drawing board I suppose :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: at least everything else that needs removing is easily accessible..

Happy Saturday out there!
