I have a 150 gal mixed reef. I’m guilty of not testing the big three (calcium, alk and mag) on a regular basis. When I did, I was using an API master kit. I know, it’s junk. I dose two part and went with best guess, based on some chart I found on BRS.

Now I’m laid off, have time to burn and am making up for lost time. Got rid of the API junk and picked up some Salifert kits.

Alk is 11 and calcium over 500. I don’t dose Mg, so I havent tested it yet. The pH is steady around 8.1 (tested on a calibrated probe). I stopped dosing for now and did a 15 gal water change (I do them weekly). Do I just let the levels come down naturally or is there something else I can do (other than more water changes)?

Just let it come down. I run alk at 12ish and calcium a little under 500. The only issues that arise with higher alk is when you run ultra low nitrate and phosphate .
