I have never dosed calcium in my 13 gal. softies tank, but someone has offered to give a small hammer. If I do 10% or 20% water changes weekly, will I still need to dose calcium or will the water change take care of it?

You’ll have to gauge by measurement. Alk is likely the one needed first.

Just test all three,Alk,MG, CA after your WC.
If they stay constant, no dose needed.
They should be close to your salt mix parameters.
