I had been using the KD Director to control alkalinity dosing. I have just added a calcium reactor to the tank and was wondering if anyone is using both a calcium reactor and dosing alkalinity together.

I was considering this with the thought being the calcium reactor would be the main source of alkalinity/calcium and the KHD could fine tune alkalinity by dosing. The dosing pump is still setup on the tank but not running so its not a big deal to do so. Am I overthinking this?

At first, do not dose alk or calcium. In a few weeks, you will dose small amount of CA, but not alk.
Reactor maintains alk

I stopped dosing 2 part about 3 months ago when I brought the carx online.
Ca and alk have been very steady.
No need to dose for ca imo.
I run manmade media not coral bones.

I don't dose anything. My reactor maintains everything in check. The only time I use Alk and Cal is when I need to ramp up my parameters due to out of CO2 or something when wrong with my gauge.
