So as I have quite a long wait until my tank arrives in September it gives me a lot of time to research and reflect. The tank has been designed around the Triton method with a refugium that is 20% percent of the display tank and also with 10x turnover. So I am thinking of using a calcium reactor with the Triton method instead of dosing 1,2, 3a and 3b. Then dosing magnesium and other trace elements as required from the results of ICP testing, although magnesium could be also dosed daily. So obviously its taking the basics of the Triton method, large fuge, huge turnover etc. As on a 365 gallon tank I think most importantly it could work out to a lot less maintenance and in the long run cost. As I planning for it to be predominately SPS I think the consumption of the Triton supplements would become cost prohibitive as the tank matures and the colonies get bigger and bigger. Any thoughts, ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
