Calcium Reactor Question

I have a cr220 calcium reactor that I cant dial in. im only getting 14 dkh effluent. ph is set between 6.55 and 6.65 so carbon kicks on at 6.65 and off at 6.55 at 3 bubbles per second and 10 psi

What does that mean? It should always be on unless it drops below the threshold of turning your media to mush.
Did you calibrate your probe?
What media are you using?
How much effluent per min are you getting?

If your only getting 14 dkh you need to lower the PH. Don't get stuck on the number of the PH, adjust so the Effluent is around 20.

My guess is you are running a fairly fast effluent rate, or you have an obstructed recirculation flow inside the reactor.

Dont get hung up on effluent dkh too much, focus more on your systems dkh.

3 bubbles per sec is very fast for CO2, you are basically using the "dump" method where the pH controller is running the reactor instead of dialing in a slow constant CO2 rate, the dump method can work but isnt really ideal IMO, better to have the tuning running a reactor vs the pH controller.

+^ from C. Eymann above. Don't worry what your reactor effluent is. You're trying to dose your tank. Your regulator should be OFF at 6.55 if that's what you're wanting to run at. You don't set an ON number; it is simply ON until the PH probe tells it the PH is 6.55 and it shuts off. Google is your friend. There are some GREAT youtube videos and GREAT posts on this very subject I'd recommend you look into.
