Caleb's first reef tank

Nice i have the same tank but with custom aluminum stand

Usually with wrasses he'll send 2 since they're notoriously bad shippers.
They both were a little lethargic in the bag but have been swimming. Both are hiding on the floor of the tank right now.

Tang is being a bit of an jerk but chasing as bad has he did the lawnmower. Going to do some extra feeding of the tank for a few days. Did some frozen and made sure to try and get some to the wrasses.

Won't complain about having 2, I just want them to be a bit more forward in the tank which the Tang is not allowing right now

Go enter the Supporter monthly giveaway and maybe you'll win a SHU acclimation box. That's a good "timeout" box or a place you can put new fish for introduction purposes.

Already in there! Was hoping I would get one from last months. Most likely will just end up getting one anyways cause I hate stressing new additions out like this.

This was part of the reason I wanted to get the tang and wrasse at the same time but the wrasse wasn't ready to ship when the other fish were. Now the tang has turned into the tank bully, and my clownfish are both passive and don't bother anything in the tank.

Alright just ordered a SHU. In the meantime I'll keep and eye on them...hopefully I wont end up needing it and Mr Tang will chill out, otherwise if I still need it when it gets here I'll have it as an option.

Until then, heavier feeds to help try and reduce the chasing.

Good morning! Found both fish down in the sand this morning. One is up and swimming, the other is still hiding on the sand. The one that is swimming took some LRS and crushed up pellet food. Didn't see the one in the sand take much of anything but did get LRS down to him.

Will keep an eye on them today. Have friends coming to visit us and the baby so we will be home.

Both made it through the day and have nice spots for hiding/sleeping at night.

One of them is swimming more freely in the tank, but still keeping to a corner. Mr Tang is still putting on a good chase if the wrasse goes outside of a certain area. Other one spent most of the day hiding behind the GSP rock in the sand.

One swimming better did take some more pellets and LRS when directly fed. Tried to get some down to the other, not sure if he took any or not. Will continue to try and directly feed them both. Debating trying to pull the more skittish one and put him in the wife's tank where he will at least have passive tank mates.

This would be temporary, and I think the smaller tank is better than stressing it out with a Tang chasing him constantly whenever he ventures out. Would be back into my tank once the SHU has arrived.

Did decide to pull the weaker / more distressed wrasse out and put him into the wife's tank this morning. Already looking a lot better and is swimming around. He was hiding in the cave for the better part of the morning but has since come out and has taken some pellets. Wife's clowns are puppy dogs alongside her starry blenny. Its a small tank for him to stay in long term, but I think its better for his health until I have the acclimation box.

Wrasse that stayed in my tank is no longer being terrorized by the tang and is swimming throughout the tank, swimming with the tang and my clowns, and has been eating from the auto feeder.

Both have better color today too, one that we separated out is still a bit pale but has improved from even this morning.

I'd call this a success overall. Both fish are gorgeous!

My urchin has styled himself heavily, also seen my very happy GSP rock that is going to be getting trimmed back. Its starting to spread on my sand so going to make a fancy branching piece with what I frag back.
