No matter how often I change my water I can’t seem to get my magnesium levels up. I am using Instant Ocean (orange top) and it claims that at the right temp and salinity you can achieve Mg levels of 1350ppm. When I test my water I am usually around 1150.

My tank has a handful of zoas, a frammer, a dying frogspawn (which is what lead to the Mg investigation) and 1 crab. It also have a giant sand anemone and 1 bubble tip in case those change the chemistry some how.

Any thoughts?

My mixing station isn’t heated. Won’t that affect results?

For the longest time I was use the purple top, so I am sure my levels were lower. But been using orange top for a couple months now. Was hoping to see better results.
