My newly acquired clam fell or walked off the cradle I Made and is now on top of some lepto. the clam has attached either to the lepto or the side of the cradle and I don’t want to rip it off and hurt it. What is a good course of action? Should I try gently to move it? Clam seems like it could care less it’s happy. I do see tiny sweepers on parts away from the clam on the lepto

I would reposition whatever the clam is attach to so it will face up and leave it be.
I had clams on living corals before any it is really beautiful and natural.

Yea it is super nice looking with the orange Lepto and the blue/black clam. Unfortunately when I try and pick up the rock I was using as a cradle the clam seems attached and it’s not coming off the glass either. Maybe it will pick one and then I can gently move. My clam luck sucks. I can grow and color acros to growing giant Goni’s and everything in between but clams...AHHH it’s always something with them.
Thanks for the quick reply brother

Hey let me ask you this since you’re the only one that bothered to reply, I moved it and put a old frag plug under the rock it doesn’t look the prettiest but I was able to angle the clam up towards the light better do you think this is risky?

Beautiful clam and lepto btw. Not sure about how potent lepto’s stings are but all I can say is that I keep my clams away from most corals that send out sweepers. It wasn’t intentional but it sorta ended up that way. However, there are two galaxeas near my clams without much issues.
