I vote peanut worm. Some of mine look darker than others. You can see it picking at the rocks with his little “elephant trunk”- like mouth.

Can’t quite see enough details but if it’s just one arm I’m thinking olychate Eunice ir the hobbit.
Keep an eye out and try to lure it with some meaty food to have a better idea.

Is that an AIO tank? It looks to me like it's a piece of the black sealant that came loose and got hung up back there.

It's a 40G breeder. That was what I thought at first but the tube seems to be moving actively and it can contract to a shorter length. I'm tempted to pull it out but also curious to know what it is. I'll observe for a few more days before doing anything.
