I have a few spots in my tank that have more shadows ever since I added more rock. Are there any corals that I can put in any of these spots or will they just have to be left open?

Picture 2: Look under overhang (plan to put a torch in lit area so not so worried about it)

Picture 3: Look to the right side of the rock. Plan to put hammer in lit area but it is still kinda dim

can any low light corals go in these spots? 5BFD66FE-945E-476E-A0D8-9289BDC49BED.jpeg

There are some corals that want low light. Also, a lot of anemones like to sit in semi-shaded areas and reach out to the light. My pavona is shaded almost entirely by my monti cap and it's the third fastest grower in my tank. (Cap and digitata are the two fastest)

I know these corals can work I just didn’t know if this is too low light for anything to grow in. Didn’t look too much into mushrooms but I’ll definitely write those down.

mushrooms, cyphastrea, and especially blastomussa coral.

Blastos seem to not like direct light, they really prefer shaded areas

Bumping to see if what I said about it being too dim is true ^^^^
There are some nice colorful recommendations for you.

+1 to blastos. I love blastos. I don't know why I haven't bought any yet....

biggest mistake is too much light, I run my leds at !% W and B and growth is through the roof again. massive par does not always translate to growth, some coral s love to reach for the light and do better with less light.

That’s good to know guys. I thought low light corals mean that they’d have to have some light but not a lot. While this is true, it’s not as little light as I thought they could live in

Everything on earth wants to live ,anything learns to adapt just takes time and lots of reefers don't have patience with this.

very true. I used to not be this way but over the past few months I have started accepting it
