Hello, I observed some of my fish (seabass) faint for a few seconds when they are completely in the dark and then swim normally again as if nothing happened. Does anyone here ever observed this kind of behavior from their fishes?

Banggai cardinals will do this, the term is sudden fright or sudden shock syndrome. But as the name implies, there's usually an abrupt change in stimulus for this to occur. It doesn't just happen.

You mean like when a free large reef swimming ocean tang is purchased and put into a 20g tank type of fainting?
