Can I dip a chalice?

So I've dipped two chalices twice in Lugols. I was planning on doing a third today. They have been a day apart. Looks like the tissue recession has stopped, but I should have taken a picture to be sure. I plan on keeping a close eye on them for a week or so, the re-evaluate.
