Can I fit a Reef roller Matt into an XL 36 ice cap sump? Plus some pictures of my set up.

I have a 36 XL ice cap sump and want a reef roller mat, but I just don’t think it will fit it in the sump. I don’t think I can fit one in the filter socks section anyway - here are some pictures of my 225 peninsula.

Unfortunately the only useful option is installing a KLIR D7 roller.
But I have had this in mine and it is much to be desired—-I don’t love it.

I really like this sump and how it’s set up except for the fact that there really is no viable option for a better rollermat :(

Second the klir and the less than favorable results, lol. I have a 4" one in my junk pile (with the gen 2 updates).

As much modding will be needed to drop in a roller, new sump perhaps?
It’s almost worth just getting a new sump , I agree

crap....guess its filters socks forever. thanks for all the input fellow reefers
Yeah it sucks cause it’s actually a pretty awesome sump otherwise.

Get yourself some mesh filter socks and then get some pool filter socks to put over the mesh. Makes it easy and u just throw out the pool socks every week.

I am with your though….doomed to use the filter socks til a new sump cause the klir is just unbearable to use considering it’s useless haha
