The leather? Cut a piece off with a new razor blade. Easy peezy. I'd run carbon though and watch other inhabitants. Keep a water change ready, it shouldn't be needed but they can be mildly toxic

Ok sounds like I just can cut a bit off with a razor blade.
Would I superglue bit to a plug?

Super glue does not work with softies. They will just slough it off. You need to rubber band it to a rock until it fully attaches. Here is a good vid on toadstool propagation.
