This was sold to me a good time ago as a purple people eater favia...it just doesn't look like it to me. I am not worried about a name but rather the species, it has a lot of individual polyps and I didn't think favias were like that, but maybe it is more of an acan.

The centers are purple and the outside is rows of what looks like little green balls that gives it a green and purple striped appearance, I just took the pic with my iPhone under actinics (didn't feel like waiting for daylights) so it has blue appearance in the photo. It is definitely a unique little piece, it is my favorite coral I have and I has almost lost it once.

It is indeed a very nice Favia, not sure on the exact ID of it though. Could you post some daylight pic's of it?
