I just recieved a marineland 220 and i need to replace a side panel of galss and to do this i need to remove the top trim. So i was thinking instead of putting the trim back on i would have 2 pieces of glass made to go on the top of the tank. would this work? I really tove the look that this would have. thanks for the responses in advance.

I would find your Dims and then find a rimless and see if your glass thickness is the same. If they are the same you would need to polish the edges of your tank or you will get cut all the time since they are most likly raw under the trim. If all that matches up i would think you could do it with out the brace as long as other 220's with same dim's and glass thickness dont have brasses
