Can i have a dead fish but no chemistry changes?

I haven't seen my twin spot blenny in a week. He was always shy and seemed to eat after everything else. But I still saw him daily. Been a week now. Is it possible he got in his hiding spot and died without any of my water parameters changing? I did all my tests today and everything is exactly where it should be. I added just a tad magnesium but everything is spot on. I've lost a cristata and have a clump of zoas not opening in the same time frame. I'm assuming from the dang crabs I'm always catching plowing over them. If any of it is water related I have no idea what it could be.

depends on lots of things......i.e. size of water column versus size of fish.....but yes, you could have a death with very minimal impact on chemistry......i.e in a 500G tank, a 1" death would have almost zero impact....versus a 1" death in a 5 gallon tank......
