Can I pair red saddleback with black?

I guess the question Im asking is is it okay to pair a black saddleback clown with a red? They have different scientific names on LiveAquaria. Not sure if there’s a black version of Amphiprion ephippium or if I need to have two that look exactly the same.

I would not pair anything but another saddleback with a saddleback. In my experience, they do not get along with other types of clowns. However, I have not tried this exact combo

Different colors of the same species are ok

Different species can sometimes work out but far more often results in the death of one of the clowns.

Was just wondering since they were both called ‘saddleback’ sounds like saddleback just means they have a blob of color there and isnt indicative of same species. Turns out I was talking about a true saddleback clown and a fire clown that I found listed as a red saddleback. Thanks y’all!
