I make a lot of Miso soup and I use Wakame seaweed for this (amazon.com/Emerald-Cove-Silver-Seaweed-1-76-Ounce/dp/B00121884G/) Since there is always plenty left in the packs could I use that to feed whatever likes seaweed in my aquarium? It is a lot cheaper than seaweed from a pet store - almost a quarter ($3.50/oz) and ships free. If I can use this it would be awesome :)
TIA,
Birgit

Most definitely you can use it. I visit my local Oriental market and purchase different varieties...as stated, that are pure Nori....no spices. Not sure if they are national, but H-Mart is my favorite market...very clean and a large selection.

My fish love store bought nori....pure nori though

I grow numerous red macro algae’s that are people edible. I often use them in crevices.

By the way, I buy packs of Nori meant for Sushi on Amazon, it’s much fresher than the aquarium stuff and a lot less expensive as well. The fish love it. I buy organic unseasoned.

I have a tank with lots of baby macros. I rather have the "creatures" (😍) nibble on what I offer than the "plants"

I use Dulse. It's far less processed than nori. Whole foods sells it, but it can be cheaper in bulk online.

If it's free of spices and other processing products I don't see any issue. I feed my Lettered Olive Snail pieces of fresh jumbo gulf shrimp purchased at my grocery.

I have been using kelp granules. I like that they can go into an autofeeder. They float though so ideally want a ring for them to fall into.

I fed tangs years ago with nori for rapping around sushi . Tangs loved it and it was cheap

I do buy nori in Bulk from Asian grocery . And buy salmon , cod , shrimp, squid, from my local grocery store . Also buy frozen blue crab for my Zebra eel .also feed seaweed extreme for my tang and Omega One algae pellets . Will look into the kelp pellets

I see in chewy .com they have a 5 lb kelp pellets used for horse feed . Now I can go get some rabbit fish . They are forever hungry and always underfed , I bought three juveniles ages ago and they ate pellets galore . i Would go. Thru the small cans of pellets quickly . They weren’t even adult size 10to 12inches . 5lb bag may sound like a lot but for them not at all
