Can Niger Triggers be reef safe????

Fish seem to have personalities so "reef safe" is a loose term with some fish. From what I have heard niger triggers eat some inverts and not corals. Even then, what coral should you choose to put with it in the net ? It might decide to eat a coral once it feels safe in you tank. Who really knows with certain fish ? I think it will be fine as long as you keep it fed well.

He died because my two clowns were really agressive twards him and never let him eat and main time means just untuil he gets to big them im going to sell him

Don't get me wrong, Im not trying to be a jerk, but Ive been down the same road that you are heading. I would wonder why some of my fishes wouldn't live long and why they would die, or why they would fight with each other. Pretty much it was an aquarium size issue, some fishes just don't do well in small systems. Even in my 180g they would do laps around the tank, and they were relatively small, 3-4 inches.

That might have been the problem but i never said he was in my cube i had him in my other 29 gal rectangular tank but then nw i have two clowns two green chromiss a yellow tang and a six line wrasse snd nw theyre alk doing fine.....

Also with triggers, be sure to glue, epoxy, nail, or otherwise permanently attach anything you don't want knocked over or flipped. They are notorious for rearranging things looking for food and just making the tank to their liking.

We already have a wrasse in our home since we have 3 reefs we have a barbonius anthias, a mystery wrasse,a flame hawk and a pair of snowcassos in 1 tank , our other 29 gal biocube we have a pair of grade a picassos, helfreichi firefish, and a golden wrasse, and in our last 29 gal biocube i wanted to put the niger with my pair of true percs

Talk about overstock, those fish are WAYYY too big for nano tanks.

I never said i had them in nano tanks the first few i named are in my 60 gal the others are in my nanos

O haha sorry well yeah everything with the snowcassos are in my 60 gal and everything else i have in my biocubes the true percs are the only 1s in my sec biocube thats where i wanted to put the trigger

I would still advise against the trigger in the biocube, irridisgardless of the size, they are still very territorial and will cause havoc in a tank of that size IME.

O ok everyone has different answers some say its been done before and some say that its a risk idk i mean it would be a risk with everything i have in my tank and it would look really nice but idk if i really want to take that risk anymore

Not really ha but i can stick a 2" trigger in a 29 gal untuil it gets to big and then i can sell it haha that was my idea haha
