That’s what I thought too! I was looking for a dussi and this was sold me as it. But the more and more I look at it it looks like a Fowleri. It's either a fowleri or dussumieri tang, but I can't tell which. It looks more like a fowleri though.
Thank you. I thought it was a black spot too. Anyway to tell?Young dussomieri or blackspot tang
the black spot (also called a barienne ) has a sleek purple/grey body with a characteristic black spot at the base of its tail. Its fins are orange and it has orange spots across its face.Thank you. I thought it was a black spot too. Anyway to tell?
So could it be a young black spot? If it doesn’t have a orange spots on its face?the black spot (also called a barienne ) has a sleek purple/grey body with a characteristic black spot at the base of its tail. Its fins are orange and it has orange spots across its face.

Thank you. Would love to hear an answer@4FordFamily has a illustration showing the differences, but I can't find it.
I think it's a Fowlei, though until full-adult coloration it is difficult to be sure. I don't have an illustration, unfortunately.
I forgot I ever made that! Haha good find!!
