I was really starting to panic because under my more blue spectrum of lights all this bacteria or algae looks red. after turning my lights to the white spectrum it appears to be more green. (pictures below). It is a relatively new tank at about 2 months old and had fish in it for the last month. Test results are as followed

Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 4.9
Phosphate - 0.2
salinity - 1.025
ph - 8

Im 99% sure this is my tank now entering the "ugly" stage and theses are diatoms as this has not happened yet. just curious what everyone else thinks. Thank you for your time.

It’s likely diatoms or dinoflagellates in a new tank. Probably diatoms. But I’m 1 opinion.

Welcome to the start of the ugly phase. Diatoms
Just ignore them there is no stopping it. It will get much worst just let nature take its course and they will disappear. Can add some snails to at this point help out the process

Good time to get your copepod population going, they’ll eat it and speed up the process but as stated already once they run out of silicates they’ll go away on their own.
