Hello,

Got some free coral and have no idea what it is, can anyone identify?

Thanks

Coral on the left seems to be a species of a leather coral - closer in resemblance to a finger leather, perhaps cabbage? The extrusion of polyps leads me to believe this.

The coral on the right is a species of zoanthid. From the limited color I can see right now - I'm pointing to eagle eyes. Will have to wait until they open a bit more :)

Thanks I do believe the second one to be zoas they came with a lot of stringy algae and i think it’s bothering them from fully opening will hermits/snails get rid of this ? And thanks for the leather coral info, I’ve never heard of it lol

You can dip the zoa in 50/50 tank water to hydrogen peroxide. For 2-3 minutes. Should get rid of the hair algae. Or you can try a turkey baster.
