Can someone ID this please?

I just picked up a star pileup from the local LFS and this weird black looking thing is on the bottom. It looks like a turtle shell with black tentacle things coming out of it. Could someone please ID it?

No problem, but I do have a few problems with my theory. In the last pic, it had pretty long eyes or sensors, which stometellas don't really have. Also, it has a dark colored shell, which could be Coraline algae, but usually their shells are purple or light colored. Finally, the size of its shell compared to the snail is a little off, but it still could be. But, make sure you have plenty of algae or the snail could starve. I bought 3 stometellas when I was having a really bad GHA bloom, but then within around 3 days all the algae was gone.

Kinda looks like a stometella snail

Yeah, that's a black Stomatella snail - good CUC. The antennae can be pretty long on these guys (the eyestalks on Stomatellas are really short).
