Can someone ID this stuff?

Hello all:

I was looking in the tank after lights out and saw this weird pinkish purple substance below my torch garden. It appears to have holes in it. I sent photos to my LFS and he does not seem to be concerned about BJD which was my worry. He seems to think it's some kind of sponge. I also thought it was my zoas spreading since there is a colony right next to this stuff and there are a couple of small polyps at one end. The torches are all healthy and flowing with no sign of dissolving. Any thoughts?

I agree on sponge. I have some similar sponge that grows in my tank.
