I think it's a grouper of some kind. And not sure what kind of starfish this is specifically. Thanks!

Wow, I have never seen a starfish like that! Such a stunning red color.
As for the fish, it has the characteristics of a baby grouper, especially with the sail on its back, but not sure what kind of grouper it would be exactly. The coloration is much different than that of the common goliath grouper.

Figured it out: it's a blacktip grouper.
Yes, Epinephelus fasciatus, blacktip grouper, and the star is Fromia milleporella, blacktip fromia.
