Hey all,

I was looking for this information back in 02/21 and really couldn’t find anything on it. Had a lot of people telling me “no way”, and others saying “Maybe”.

So in 04/21 I went for it. Here are some of the photos when I added it.

And here are some photos from today. 7447DCF3-D21E-433F-B2FA-7A426584954F.jpeg 04A787AD-9A9B-40B6-81E9-74F65D491D3A.jpeg B31F9430-DA36-45EA-8853-B6F89CE388DA.jpeg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Hope this helps someone who’s on the fence of adding SPS to their biocube.

Just a quick question, what is the SPS with pink tips on the arms and a greenish yellow body/base

is it a shortcake?

You can, but that PC Rainbow for example you can tell it’s under lit by the color. Should be a deep red, either way as long as you are happy who cares.
Yes discoloration is normal in my tank due to the lighting. Definitely not going to say otherwise. But I thought they would surly die or be unable to grow from what others were saying.

However, they seem to be happy, with full polyps extended and growing. I am not a expert coral grower by any extent of the imagination. As long as my tank is growing and everything seems to be happy, I am happy as well.

I just like low maintenance, and so far this Biocube has delivered on that. Extremely low maintenance.

Honestly, the Biocube line, especially the largest size, might be just about the perfect beginner tank. I started feeling like I'd outgrown my first 'cube after a year or two, but the stock set-up is honestly not bad on them, and I'm not too surprised that the base lighting can at least keep those sticks alive. Long-term you might want to look into some kind of lighting upgrade for better coloration, but nice work on keeping your water good enough to sustain those corals.
