Can tempered glass bow safely?

I've built a monster of a tank, the glass is 56"x 46" 5/8". Now the tank glass is caulked to the inside of the opening. It's overlapped 3" eitherside and 2.5" top and bottom. It also has a eurobrace.

The tank is 3/4 full, but it has a 1 mm bow so far. Should I continue?

I wouldn’t think so, it’s meant to shatter like confetti when it breaks

True, however it's the edges that are delicate. The rest is quite the opposite. Very strong. And flexible too. It's just under this load, while having such a dynamic deflection.. it's only 1mm or less.

I’m a belt and suspenders type so any amount of bowing would make me change course, but this is your rodeo so do it up :smiling-face-with-sunglasses:

Yeah, it's disappointing to say the least.
