I love the Red Sea LEDs - but do not like the blue lighting look...

The new AquaIllumination Blade Grow has: 12 royal blue, 6 cool white, 6 blue LEDs - and someone on YouTube has been able to get this color spectrum, which I really like, out of them -

I’m betting a filter was used here. No way you can get that look with only cool white and blues.

Yeah, I didn't think so either...

But he was asked in the YouTube comments - and he said it looked like that in person.

Here is his YouTube video - the tank starts at 2:02 -

As with the above comments, I think that would be hard to achieve with just whites and blues - but stranger things have happened. Some of the green corals in my tank do look that spectacular under Radion G5 Blues - so it is possible.

Yeah, and the fact that he refuses to share.post his settings after being repeatedly asked...

kind of speaks volumes...

Have you seen the spectrum of the Red Sea LEDs? Terribly narrow and very little outside of blue.
Yeah... that's the problem... for a lot of people...

Don't understand why Red Sea wouldn't allow people to put a little more "natural" light/color...

I understand their Reef-Spec thinking and not being able to harm the corals, etc...

But their lights are just way too blue.

That is why I was excited to see the color spectrum the guy I posted supposedly got out of his AI Grow lights - which has all blue and a few white LEDs.

Thinking that it might be possible with the Red Sea lights.

It’s surprising with all the innovations we see coming from them they don’t give their lights a refresh.

That was my thought as well after the 50 and 90 came out...

But then they put the 160S out with the same blue spectrum.

You think they would know that many more people would buy their lights if they had just a slightly wider color spectrum to choose from.
