Can there be only one?

Aiptasia I mean? First do you think this is aiptasia? If so, what are the chances that there is only one in the tank? I pulled the rock that these JF Stargazer zoas are on and cut this thing out. Then glued the hell out of that area. I guess it will take a long time for the zoas to cover the glue? In the process the frag plug pulled away from the rock leaving some zoa heads on the rock. I reglued the plug in a new spot. Now I guess the zoas will spread from two places.
I may have covered a couple zoa heads with the glue but, will it be worth it to nip it in the bud? What would be the best aiptasia preditor?
The tank is 150g with torches, acans, favia, a trachyphyllia, and lots of zoas. For fish, a blue hippo, tomini tang, 2 clowns, 2 springeri damsels, 1 purple firefish, and 5 banggai cardnalfish. (all are pretty young)

Yep. Aiptasia. And no. There are more. OK. I'm not 100% on that. Only 99.99%. And the vast majority of tanks have them. So you can pick them off one at a time or go the biological route and get something that feasts on them. Peppermint Shrimp are a good place to start.

They always multiplied when I tried to eliminate them. We decided to coexist for a while but now I have CBBs in the large tank and peppermints in my smaller one and the aiptasia never make it into the display.

just to clarify the ones I removed were never disturbed because I just pulled out the plug they were on, I think a rock would be a little more tricky

If it's not to late, take the rock out and treat.
Rinse in salt water good before it goes back in the tank.

From my experience Aiptasia do not seem to follow the Highlander rules of immortality. There certainly can be more than only one.
