This borbonius has been in a tank for like 6 months at my lfs but has swim bladder issues, would it be possible to vent him to get him swimming right

They will have to release the air if truly bladder itself but fish looks good otherwise. Is it able to eat?

Yes

I've "needled" many dozens of fish to try and relieve swim bladder issues, but it ALWAYS returned for me. I even built a pressure chamber - I'd put fish in it and pressurize them to 15 psi. The problem would resolve while they were in the chamber, but it always returned when I reduced the pressure after a day.

I'd take a pass on this fish, but if it has survived for 6 months like this, it may continue to live.....
