Can you feed general cure and dose in the water at the same time?
I would not. It is absorbed and therefore administered at 1 teaspoon per 20 gallons.
Safe to feed is Seachem metro but must be precise as it is .5gm in weight almost impossible to measure- VERY tiny amount

Will you get rid of more parasites by feeding general cure or dosing it in the water?

As with copper, prazi and antibiotics- treatment externally is very effective
What are you treating for?

You really cannot feed general cure at all, that is an old idea that doesn’t have good science behind it - the two drugs in GC have two different oral doses, so it can never work.

But what about parasites you can only treat with Metronidazole?
Metro can be added to food but as I mentioned - The challenge is the tiny amount at 0.5gm weight which is tricky. The reason for metro is with food makes it is safe for many inverts present BUT metro although claimed to treat Cryptocaryon, Hexamita, and Ich. . . . Is effective mainly for marine ich and some internal issues. You say only treat- there are a few treatments- not just Metronidazole.

Oral metro is effective against internal protozoans at 0.5% by weight in food. It doesn’t treat external protozoans well when dosed orally. You need to use metroplex, not general cure.

It treats some protozoans, both external and internal - marine fish drink seawater and so ingest a metered amount that way. However, except for Hexamita and Spironucleous, there are better drugs to use than metronidazole.

Chloroquine, but coppersafe is safer and more effective except on Brooklynella.

I thought copper only treats external parasites, I also want to treat internal parasites?
Right, copper only treats external protozoan parasites and those account for the vast majority of issues with marine fish.
Metronidazole treats the two internal protozoans and praziquantel treats tapeworms. Nematodes require another medication and the some internal parasites such as microsporidians and Icthyophonus fungus are essentially untreatable.
