Usually manual removal, used a sharp blade and scrape from the rock. Also, a thick kalkwasser paste smothered over them should work.

I'm amazed that anyone can see anything with that blue lighting. I mean, I can tell there is a leather at the top part of the rock, but the rest just all bleeds together in shades of blue.

Colonial hydroids typically glow green so it's not hard to spot the colony right in the middle. These right here
