Candy Apple Red vs SBB Hephaestus

I just wanted to post here for all the people that say Candy Apple Red, Bowsers, and SBB Hephaestus are the same thing. Here are two images taken at the same time comparing the CAR (they said they could be bowsers, but I don’t think so) and the SBB Hephaestus. I can’t believe the color and brightness difference. The Hephaestus really ‘pops’ and I can’t explain it, but these are the most realistic comparisons I could get. These aren’t photoshopped and it’s the same time/lights using a yellow filter. I wish I had a better camera than my iPhone to show y’all.

I have found using both an orange and yellow filter I get better pictures. I have an iPhone 11 here is an example (or a few) of a photo(s) I took and it’s exactly as it looks in life

I have an 11 pro. I’m about to look into getting the orange filter too, but I only have the yellow for now. Those are great photos! Are those using the orange filter?

Or did you mean that you use them overlaying each other? I’ve never heard of that but an intriguing concept.

Both filters and I run heavy blues

I also use a macro lens. Which really only helps for the zoas on my rack

Yeah, they look about the same (drowned out blue background) until you have them both. Thanks for the advice, I’ll have to try it. I’ve been trying all different lighting settings to get the “true” color through but this seems to do it.

For these pics, I used the same settings that TSA posts on all their pics. I still had to add a filter to drown out the blue, but it’s pretty realistic to their true colors. I’m ordering an orange filter soon!
