Candy Cane Coral, Is this real??

Ok this is new to me, upon inspection is this normal to have such an open hole? And on the one picture of the side it looked like neon green paint. It looks on the heads that some grren is gone, was I traded a fake??

That is not fake, but it does look stressed. I would put it in water, let it acclimate for a day or two, and then see what it looked like then.

If you're talking about why there is no green around the base, that is because that is the skeleton. Many LPS, like this one or euphyllias grow as individual polyps on top of a skeleton. As they grow they build more skeleton beneath them to reach up towards the light.

They really prefer lower light and flow. If given lower light, feed them 2x a week for supplements. Higher lights, they wont puff up as much. Higher flow they may get their skin blown off.
