I noticed my candy crush looking wierd recently. In the morning before it spread out a couple of days ago I looked and noticed a couple of white spots underneath. See the attached pics. A healthy pic, a pic of the white lesions underneath, and the last pic how it looks most of the time now.

I have had this mushroom for over 2 years and never had any issues.

I dont know, I never saw babies attach to the underside of a mushroom, interesting. If they were to I suppose that would irritate the mother.

I pulled it out and those spots seem to be gone. The closest thing I saw to them was on the foot for where it is attached to the disc. However, on the other side I noticed a vermitid snail tube sticking up against the underside of the mushroom, I removed it. Hopefully this is what was irritating it. I guess I'll find out in a few hours when the lights come on. I didn't get a pic of the vermitid.

Could have been the vermited snail irritating the shroom. Could also be a bristle worms tucked under foot the sometimes like to hang out there and will irritate them.
Shrooms will also act wierd when making or having babies under them especially when foot hasn't fully detached from mother foot.
I dont think but can't say those white spots are babies but could be wrong.
Shroom looks healthy otherwise.
I'll dip my shrooms in melafix occasionally when I see a bristleworm making home next to shrooms foot.
Kills them almost instantly and I've seen no ill effects from dipping them.

I had coral rx on hand, dip completed. Didn't see a bristle worm. Will post a pic later today to see the response.

It looks like it’s wanting to drop some babies.
It’s normal for the those little white tentacles to develop, when they’re trying to drop some.
You can tilt the disk at an angle against a rock, to get the mushroom to move, just make sure the mushroom is on the lower side of the disk closest to the sand, it’ll want to move up at that point, and will most likely leave some babies behind in the process.

Here’s a picture of mama leaving some pups on the plug.

Great advice, thank you. I usually rotate the disc to change the flow the mishroom is exposed to to try amd help it move amd leave some babies. It it definitely stretching at the foot.

I am starting to thing there is a larger issue as some 2 hammers are now retracted.

Thanks, I am familiar with the foot stretching and detaching from the mama to drop babies. I hope that one you pointed out drops one or two soon! It recently developed a purple spot.
