The last few birdnest corals I've had from frags eventually RTN. They usually live for about 1-2 months, then over the course of a week will lose their tissue, then lose their polyps. My other Acro's are doing fine, as well as montis, LPS, and zoas.
Lighting: 3 x XR15 Pro (peak 35%) + 2 x ATI Coral Blue plus + 2 x ATI Actinic (9 ramp up led, 5 hours T5 peak)
Flow : 2 x Sicce 3.5 returns, Vortech MP40 QD, 2 x gyre 330
Params: 8.7 dkh (Hanna), 8.6 Nitrate (Hanna), 0.03 Phosphate (Hanna), 420 Ca (Salifert), 1300 Mg (Salifert), Ammonia 0.0-0.15 (Salifert)
The coral is about 14" from the surface, while the lights are exactly 13" above the surface. This is/was an ORA birds of paradise. The picture was taken with a 15000K orphek orange filter.
