Hi I got a Canon 80D with 100mm f2.8. Does anybody use this gear? I tried taking some pics.. but not happy with the result. Need some tips on how to get better pics... My tank lights are 48" T5 4 Blue Plus and 3 Hydra 26 HD.

Read all the sticky posts in the photography section... great advice and tips in there. That camera body and lens will do the job. This is gonna sound harsh, You just need to learn to use the tools.

Learn Depth of field, shutter speed, ISO, lighting, motion.. etc.. basically everything that isn’t in “auto mode”

As said the stickies do help a lot understand the basics, the tank photography article series I posted do present the Info in an easy to grasp and structured way.
Next is experiment, experiment, experiment and dont be afraid of trying different approaches and parameters. Do post pics so we can further assist you.
