Canon Eos Rebel t3 vs Nikon D200

I'm lookin to get one of these cameras and would like to know which one you would choose and why?Ill be getting a good macro lens either way.And ill be using it for coral and family pics.Iv used canons in the past and was very happy with them but there's so much debate now days about canon and nikon so it's a hard choice for me.I know the Nikon is alot older but iv heard awesome things about it so pleas let me know which you would choose and why.thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! I went with the rebel eos t3 and I'm very happy with it so far
