First and foremost, Dennis and Stacey are valued members, very knowledgeable, and active all over the site.

Reef Squad is an esteemed and valued part of R2R and of the mentality toward making this the friendliest reef forum on earth. When someone is invited to RS there is an additional code of conduct that they must agree to. This goes above and beyond what is just in the Terms of Service.

Some of those rules are not to try and moderate things yourself, just report it and walk away. Another rule is that trolling and bullying are not tolerated. Most of the time these 2 were fine. Unfortunately, there have also been numerous occassions where there posts had to be removed or edited due to name calling or following another member forum around to harass them.

Several moderators have their number and would text or call them, to advise not to do that, or calm down, or let it go

At a certain point, they no longer are representing Reef Squad well. It was over many, many long discussions that the Mod team painstakingly decided to remove them from RS. This is the first time anyone was removed for conduct unbecoming Reef Squad. But even when we decided to remove them Rev and mdbannister called them and talked it out and clearly outlined what they needed to do to remain RS, so they were given another chance. That was a couple of months ago. And the decision this time had nothing qt or any interactions with a mod, but rather how they treated a new member a couple of weeks ago and how they dealt with someone in a lounge thread this week.

In communication with them it was also explained that hopefully someday they could be reinstated to RS.

Not everyone gets along perfectly, but the mod team has NEVER let personal feelings sway ANY disciplinary action.

Dont forget about our disagreement in the reef squad lounge that others here can't see;) You know, the one about her being concerned about an offensive post made that could hurt others while you called her out in a sub forum that even paid members can't see.

Can all parties involved please take a step back, have a beer, glass of wine, or water, whatever your flavor is, later on in the day of course, maybe take a little time off to cool down and come back to this topic with an open mind. I don't know what happened to cause all of this, but I would hate for any of the parties involved to leave. At some point all of you great reefers have helped me and many others become successful in this demanding hobby, I would hate for that knowledge and love for this hobby leave.

You are proving we made the right decision. Should have been done many many months ago. This thread is on it's last leg. I can't take anymore lies and accusations. I'm not going to have my integrity questioned over and over again. I take it VERY seriously.

Wasnt that about humblefish leaving? I remember seeing a post made saying no one knew why Bobby left but in a private message it was made clear?

It’s also clear that no one cares about some of the RS “team” otherwise I would have a least been asked about why I left before removing me.

But your mods can act in the same fashion but when given back it becomes an issue? All I did was make a thread saying good bye rev. Did not violate a thing. Who really started this drama? We would've left and you'd never see us again.

I'm just a member... not even a valuable member, so I have no insight to background and admin forums etc... but from this point of view, I see two unhappy people leaving, and trying to burn the house down as they go.

I'm sure you are all great peeps, but this threads sole purpose is not to say goodbye, but to stir up emotions.

Again, this is just the view of a normal member.

It was actually all very civil until the mods stepped in an locked the thread, that’s when the shtf

It's unfortunate. They want to make everyone else look bad and act like victims. It's not the case rev tried so hard on this, and now it's blowing up in his face. Such a disappointing situation.
