Captive bred dottybacks are less aggessive- fact or fiction?

Recently heard from a LFS that captive bred dottybacks are less aggressive than wild caught dottybacks. I googled it and the Google AI response said something similar- apparently "this is because they are often raised in tanks with less intense competition and aggression, leading them to develop a more docile temperament."

While interesting, I don't use AI to inform my reefing choices... But as someone who always wanted an orchid dottyback but was too scared to try one in my 180, is it true that captive bred specimens are more peaceful?

I feel like this is a subject full of guesses and anecdotes.

Never buy a fish that you don't want to have to tear your tank apart to get out.

While definitely subjective, still curious about those anecdotes given the perspective seems to come up in several places. Not something I've heard until very recently

Dottybacks are beautiful fish, but I've never tried one

Do they have the same aggression issues in large tanks, or is it a smaller tank issue?
