I love semantics as much as the next person but what if it's captive bred in Hawaii using Hawaiin stock? Lol
Also the Biota ? group would not be happy since they spent thousands to breed them in captivity . The group that is fighting the ban would party all night

If its Captive bred then Its not Hawaiian
I understand the distinction. They're not wild-caught Hawaiian Yellow Tangs. They're captive-bred Yellow Tangs produced by Biota in Hawaii using Hawaiian broodstock. Most hobbyists still recognize them as Hawaiian Yellow Tangs because of their origin.

So I am just wondering what the standpoint is regarding the ban .
