Hey I tried searching but couldn’t find anything.

I’m QTing all fish coming into my DT but don’t have room for an invert qt also. I’m trying to limit the chances of pests coming in on my inverts and was trying to find an online seller with a fishless system. I know algaebarn has captive inverts for sale but I’m trying to find out if I can avoid shelling out $25 for 5 troccus snails.

Thanks in advance

I had the same issue and could not find anything. I ended up buying them from LA. I called them and found out their invert tanks are fish less and not connected to anything but inverts. They all came in very healthy, sparking clean shells. I QT everything as well but the chances are slim for parasite transfer from a invert only tank. I rinsed the snails with some fresh SW before adding to clean them from the water they were sent in.

if you are just looking at snails you can scrub their shells to take off any pest and then wash them a few times in tank water. I would recommend a large bowl a hob filter and a heater to set up a super cheap $20-30 invert quarantine.
this is what I use
heater
hob
it will probably be cheaper than buying pest free inverts anyways.

Look at reefcleaners.com, I also thing algae barn, and possibly aquarium outlet have aquaculutred inverts. Not huge selections, but enough for cleaner crew.

I’m getting everything I can from LA because I have always been happy, if they have fishless invert tanks that’s all I needed to hear. Thank you

All of our inverts are in separate(by vendor) systems and are kept in fallow(fishless systems)!
