They're a hybrid between the rare black phantom and maze Chaetodontoplus. Really interesting, I'm not sure that anyone knows for sure what their final form will be. That's part of the appeal to me, I will have to take one home :D - Felicia

The 3 lyretail damsels i ordered all died within the 1st 1hr of putting them in my tank. They did not ship well and showed up gasping for air in their small bags of water but both baby angelfish shipped in the big bags of water shipped wonderfully! . Day 4! How do I go about gettin a refund on the damsels, emails do not seem to be answered??

What is the origin of the regal angels? Red Sea, maldives, etc?

There is a great discussion about this in the comments section on https://www.reef2rainforest.com/2022/01/21/domestication-of-the-regal-angelfish/

Indeed, after further discussions, it looks like the F1s did indeed trace back to F0 fish from Sumatra, which would change the possible result in the offspring to be more yellow-chested/Indian Ocean form (Sumatra being part of Indonesia, and some other aspects of the conversations, pile on the language barrier…) Still not 100% clear on whether that would ring true into the F2 generation; I probably have more questions/clarifications to ask, although if properly framed as F2, that suggests no outcrossing, and the use of the F1 stock, so then in fact Thomas would be correct and these would have yellow chests if that’s all true.
