Quick tank update! 2 days with lights on and no sign of Dino’s! Everyone keep your fingers crossed!

Got a Salifert Calcium test to check my Hanna, and also got a 0.3mm syringe for the Hanna to improve my accuracy of test water.

Readings:
Salinity 1.026 - icecap and Milwaukee
Alkalinity - 8.26 Hanna (see below note)
Calcium - 440-450 - Salifert
424 Hanna
Phosphate - 0.01ppm Red Sea
Nitrate - 5ppm Red Sea

I didn’t think about the impact on Alk with lights out the first day, so I was still dosing until that evening when I ran tests. I turned off the Essentials dosing for the 2nd day, and then turned them back on at 75% of what it was before lights out the day the lights came back on. Going to let it slowly drop back down to 7.5/430

Livestock all looks great, hoping to see some growth again soon!

Walked by the tank this evening, and despite the eyesore that is my temp UV sterilizer, the tank just looked like it needed a few pics taken!

Still no sign of Dino's!! Still have UV running but stopped H2O2 dosing on Monday. Keep those fingers crossed!

I finally got my ATI labs back from June 24th. With this being the first test after completely starting a new tank, I'm pretty pleased with it. Nearly everything was in range. I need to dose some Iodine, Manganese & Barium, but the results with the Tropic Marin Pro salt are 100x better than my fresh mix of Fritz salt!

Awesome build! Just read the whole thread. I wish my sump was as organized as yours! I am placing an order for a divider for my sump soon to be able to grow frags in a similar fashion to you. sick of seeing them in the display.

Yeah, I got to a point with my old tank that I had 2 glass frag racks, and 3 large pieces of egg crate suspended in the rocks to hold all of my frags...it just took away from the whole experience of the display. Now I’ve got one 3” tile with an SPS on it up top, and that’s only cause it was a new wild piece that STNd some and I am keeping a close eye on it. Everything else is out of sight and hopefully growing better since I’m not watching them!

It’s been great. Lots of room under the tank, wats to easily mount things to it, channels to run wires...really happy with it.

Managed to take some good daylight photos under the Oprheks using my iphone. They are still iphone shots though, so I apologize for the picture quality ahead of time.
