Does it have sponges to keep the carbon from escaping?
Maybe your flow is too strong?
Do t own one so these are just guesses or things to think about

All the brs rox 0.8 carbon went in my sump. Thankfully its fine and probably will turn to dust quickly with my pumps. And skimmer will

I need a different reactor any recommendations
is it possible to add a flow restricter to either the pump in-let or the outlet ports? It would be a cheap solution instead of having to buy a new reactor.
I can make the flow less but im anxious dude… like the carbon is so fine the 0.8 its skipping the sponge.

Just vacuum it out next time you clean it

You also need to make sure that the carbon is packed between the sponges at the top of the reactor.

I use a Bashsea reactor. They have them in a bunch of different sizes.

Tips for Use

  • Rinse Media Thoroughly: Ensure media runs clear before connecting to the base and plugging in the pump.
  • Adjust Flow Settings: Two adjustment points—on the pump and by twisting the canister. Always start with the pump at its lowest flow setting and allow the water to fill the canister slowly to prevent media from floating to the top and exiting the reactor.
  • Release Trapped Bubbles: After filling, unplug the pump, tap on the reactor to release trapped bubbles, and allow the media to settle.
  • Fine-Tune Water Flow: Once ready, plug the pump back in and adjust the water flow by twisting the canister slowly. GFO media should lightly tumble, while carbon should not tumble at all.

You can also use a media bag inside the reactor. Easier to change out the media when expired

the reactor has its own pump for flow.
are you sure you have it set up correctly with the sponges. if its set up crrectly theres no way all the carbon got past the sponge
I did set it up correctly. I put the sponge first carbon, measured to my size tank, sponge and disc and turned it on. But i had the flow at max speed? Idk
