Carbon usage on ozone discharge

Hi guys

So I’ve got a bag of carbon on top of my skimmer to soak up escaping ozone
I’m wondering does it expire like it would if in water ?
It’s been on about 4 months and wondered whether to swop it out

It will become depleted, but fairly slowly. If the effluent doesn’t smell of ozone it is fine.

I wouldn’t know because it’s on in the small hours but the dogs come and go
Guess I’ll try it out during the day

Avast Marine Works suggests changing out the carbon in their chambers every 2 months.

They actually say for systems under 150 gallons, change every 3 months. For systems above 150, change every 2 months.
